Fall is in my opinion the best time to buy a Grand Lake/Grove, OK waterfront home. Why you might ask? Sellers are ready to move on and the lake area is much more seasonal than city home buying and selling. We do deals all year but business generally slows way down by Thanksgiving and doesn’t pickup until March. Sellers do not want to carry their for sale waterfront home till spring selling season. Many will make a better deal for you now in the fall to avoid this carry. This year I see more important as the time to buy in the fall because prices are rising around the country on homes but have not risen in retirement and recreation areas yet. By spring I think prices will be higher on Grand Lake. The next reason is interest rates, they have moved up some already but by spring could be another point or perhaps two higher. The last reason if family and friends enjoyment. Grand Lake is not just a summer time place to be.
You can enjoy terrific views from your waterfront home on Grand Lake in fall, winter, and spring as well as the summer season. The slower outdoor activity time on Grand Lake brings relaxation, more time to get to know family and friends, and time to enjoy other activities that go on during the off season. You can enjoy Pelican Festival, Taste of Grand Event, the Food Truck/Craft Show Weekend, Christmas Open House Season at our retailers with unique gifts, boat shows, home improvement show, and many many other things. You can enjoy golf at Patricia Island and the Shangri La Country Club, dining in our grand places to eat, take in a movie at Grove’s 6 screen theater, go bowling, and the list goes on and on.
