Waterfront Building Lots on Grand Lake

The last three years we have seen little to no new home building activity on Grand Lake. However, that is changing. Recently while boating on Grand Lake I counted ten new homes in various stages of construction being built on waterfront lots. People’s confidence is slowly coming back and dreams are being fulfilled. Retirement homes on Grand Lake are once again being built and second homes on Grand Lake are being built. People realize that living life as we go through it with family and friends is important and they are taking steps to make memories on Grand Lake.

New Custom Homes Are Being Built On Grand Lake –We Have Some Great Building Lots For Your Dream Home

New home construction in the Grand Lake area has been at a very slow snail’s pace for the past three years but this year we are seeing signs that people are wanting their custom home built on a special waterfront lot, gated community lot, or golf course lot in the Grand Lake area. In the Grove area of Grand Lake I know of a least four custom homes just getting started and about four more well along in the construction process. Now does make sense to think building. Interest rates remain at all time lows, but we all know that this cannot go on forever. There are builders available to build your dream home and sub-contractors to help them, and we have a good inventory of choice lots to pick from.

Grand Lake Waterfront Lots

Interest in building new homes on Grand Lake in NE Okalhoma seems to be picking up nicely. The past three years most Grand Lake waterfront home buyers have found they could get more bang for their buck by buying an existing waterfront home. December on Grand Lake

Today is December 17, 2011 and on Grand Lake it is a very beautiful day. The sun is shining bright and dancing off the water with a brilliant blue. There is no wind and temperature is in the upper 40’s. I have been out showing waterfront homes on Grand Lake and waterfront lots on Grand Lake today. It is just a super day to enjoy showing homes but also if you are a weekend second home owner on Grand Lake you should be coming to the lake and enjoying the splender year around and not just the prime summer months.

You can really enjoy the holidays around the lake with a laid back feeling of the lake and the beautiful scenery. Get out and take a brisk walk, go town and enjoy lunch at one of the lake hotspots, enjoy a nap, and perhaps do some last minute Christmas shopping in the unique shops we have in Grove and all over the lake area.  If you are a golfer you might want to go a round at Shangri La’s new course or the always favorite Patricia Island Golf Course. For dinner, you might want to try the new Shangri La Club. I had the Herford tenderloin steak there two nights ago and it was a good as it gets.

Slow down, enjoy life to the fullest at your Grand Lake home. If you are thinking retirement, think a home at Grand Lake. You won’t be sorry.

Patricia Island Estates is a wonderful golf and lake community on Grand Lake at Grove, Oklahoma. Grove, OK is a well known spot for retirees to settle and enjoy the good life on Grand Lake. Fall Is A Great Time To Buy Grand Lake Property

Fall is a great time to buy property on Grand Lake in NE Oklahoma. Sellers are anxious to get sold before winter slow season starts. Many times you can get a seller to offer a discount that would be unthinkable during the prime season from March-July. This year, 2011 I think offers more potential than normal to get a deal.

Many buyers have sat on the fence since stocks started rumbling in mid August. Up until then our sales have been ahead of last year’s pace but since mid August it has slowed down. The result of this is more listings than normal not getting sold and the selling season will slow down by Thanksgiving which means more properties will be carried over until next season gets started. Couple the above with interest rates at all time lows and it might just be your time to buy. The Oklahoma economy is well above the national economy with jobless numbers under 6% in most counties. It also was just announced that tax collections are up 7% over last year which is another sign of an economy gaining strength.
