Brighton Bay on Grand Lake Waterfront Home
Saturday, April 28th, 2007Grand Lake of the Cherokees is one of very few lakes were you can maintain your shore line if it currently is maintained. This adds beauty, view, less critters, and more enjoyment to a lake home. Oklahoma enjoys four season climate that is moderate most times and the summer boating season is just wonderful.
Monkey Island is the spot to be for weekend, seasonal, or full time living. Brighton Bay is a gated community on Monkey Island that was developed in the late 90’s. It winds along the shore line with about 60 homes in the development. Just enough for a stable homeowner association and small enough for quiet times at the lake. You see, seldom, do over 30% of people show up on any one given weekend except Fourth of July and Memorial Weekend. If you are a lucky one such as I and reside at the lake year round, you just get a bonus. Most of your neighbors pay for the upkeep to the grounds, pool, tennis court, basketball court, and other ammenties but yet aren’t there very often because they are too busy working. I always thank my homeowner association members for providing me the nice park to live in year round. Brighton Bay is the same situation. You can have a private retreat to enjoy without the hussle and bussle of city life.
Brighton Bay #2 has just maybe the best view in the entire addition. The community boat docks are a short distance of a few hundred feet West of the home out of site but very close to enjoy the boat. The view without the dock in front of the home and the location of this home results in an unobstructed wide open view of main lake and all directions of the wide cove of Grand Lake. This home has 3 bedrooms, 2 full baths, utility room, a large cook’s delight kitchen with warm bleached wood cabinets. The floor plan is open with the dining and eating bar as well as the spacious catherdal ceiling living room all open including the kitchen. In winter you can enjoy the fireplace or step out on deck and enjoy the upscale almost new hot tub. Of course the hot tub will be a favorite year round. Speaking of stepping out on deck, this deck is huge to enjoy the great outdoors at least six months of the year. You will spend many hours relaxing on this deck and did I mention the carved eagle on the deck. He just adds character. The view from front is across the community park with swings for the little tikes, tennis, basketball, swimming, picnic tables, sand volleyball, and walking areas. Everything is here for your enjoyment.
You, too, can enjoy the good life at Brighton Bay. Oh yes, why is this home for sale if things are so good here. The owners like it so well they just bought a neighbor’s larger home to meet their growing families needs just a couple of doors down. Too bad the neighbor had to sell because of life changes but it is your chance to be an owner in Brighton Bay of Monkey Island on Grand Lake in Oklahoma.
