July 4th is almost here. Have you made your plans to be at Grand Lake in Northeast Oklahoma to watch the midwest premier fireworks show at Duckcreek. Oklahoma turns 100 years old this year and the folks who annually put on a great fireworks show are planning to out do themselvas for the big birthday. Not only spectular fireworks but also a jet flyby review will be included.

You can have an enjoyable holiday at Grand Lake, boat ride, barbque, visit friends and family, and then top it all off with the Duck Creek Fire Works Show. I heard on the street this week rumors that USA Today would rank this show in the Top 10 Fireworks Shows in the Nation this holiday.

Grand Lake and the communities surrounding it including Grove, Monkey Island, Ketchum, Cleora, Langley, Disney, and Zena offer so many different activities and water sports to enjoy. Last week was the Bass Master Sooner Run fishing tournament enjoyed by many. Grove Fest was before that. Nearby Jay has the Huckleberry Festival coming up. You can take in something nearly every weekend in the Grand Lake area. It is also just a great area to lay back and spend time in the hammock under a nice shade tree enjoying a book or come next winter build a fire in the fireplace and still enjoy a good book.
