Christmas on Grand Lake in NE OklahomaTuesday, December 23rd, 2008
Today is December 23, 2008, the weather outside is cloudy, a mist is in the air, and the temperature is 36 degrees on the shores of Grand Lake of the Cherokees and in the City of Grove, Oklahoma. However, in the homes and businesses of this bustling little community is a glowing warmth that comes from people who enjoy life, care about family and friends, and let the cares of a troubled world go by.
Grand Lake is truly a paradise for the people who have a full time family home here, a retirement home, or have a family retreat on the waterfront. People come to to Grove and Grand Lake from all across the United States. We regularly see many relocate here from California, Nevada, and the Southeastern States. You find a low key kind of life many of us enjoy, low or no crime rates, affordable golf course, waterfront, or neighborhood homes, and a low cost of living compared to many areas. Some use Grand Lake homes for the central meeting place for families extended from both coasts to the northern or southern borders. Only an hour to an hour and a quarter to three airports to get the family in for Christmas or a 4th of July summer vacation.
Grand Lake is truly a great place to own property. It has been and continues to be a good investment. It also as stated above a good investment in your quality of family life. The grown kids or grandkids will always want to come home to Grand Lake for any occcasion.
