Economy and Enjoying Life Today–Perspective from Grand Lake
Wednesday, January 7th, 2009We all hear the stories on the national economy every day. It can get to you after awhile. I won’t try to predict what the economy is going to do, but I do know if your economic sitation is comfortable like many people of the central United States who live conservative lives now is a good time to buy whatever you might want. I talked to an RV sales friend of mine today and he reported his small dealership had sold 7 units the last 3 days of 2008 and had sold 3 more the first 7 days of January. That is not too bad.
We have not had any new contracts on real estate yet in the new year but our website traffic is really good, calls and emails are good, and it looks like people are planning to buy as they typically do in February and March. Real estate is still a very good investment on Grand Lake and the Grove, Oklahoma area of northeastern Oklahoma. January is still a good time to get a deal. We have an excellent inventory of new spec and late model resale homes particularly in the $200,000-350,000 price range. These will be golf course homes, interior homes with lakeview, and scenic neighborhoods around Grove. Waterfront homes are available from $300,000 to 800,000 with several but not alot of nice choices. Waterfront lots will cost from $200,000 to 400,000 for the best lots close to Grove and on the water. Of course we have lots cheaper in more remote areas or shallowier water areas.
We have a great selection on MLS and our personal listings of waterfront homes, golf course homes, waterfront lots, lakeview homes, and great neighborhood homes. Don’t let your life be led by the scare tactic media, if you are in good financial position why put your life on hole. You can get good deals now, so why not buy now.
