Fall Fun at Grand Lake – Boating and Golf

The fall weather at Grand Lake has been just wonderful. We have been out on our boat enjoying the lake more in October that we were all summer. The lake is not crowded, temperatures are just right, and you just cannot have more fun boating than the warm fall days. I am not a golfer, but the weather for golf is just as great. Most days have been in the mid 70’s to low 80’s with sunshine and just a breeze to stir the air. Just does not get any better than this.

You can enjoy a Grand Lake second home retreat or a Grand Lake retirement home twelve months of the year with four seasons all moderate. Yes, there will be 10 days to 2 weeks of hot weather in the summer and that much real cold in the winter but all in all NE Oklahoma has a wonderful climate.

We have three nice golf courses on Grand Lake where you can truly enjoy a lake and golf lifestyle. Patricia Island Estates in Grove offers interior homes on or near the golf course from $179,000 to about a million dollars. It is pretty with good neighbors and close to Grove shopping and health care.

Monkey Island’s Shangri La Golf Club is joined by the Estates, the Chateaus, Shangri La Place, the Villas, Point Marin and is close by for St. Andrews and many other nice subdivisions. Here you have a club with new vigor being added in new course work with white sand and a new club house. Monkey Island is a favorite of many Grand Lakers.

The Coves on South Grand Lake is a gated community with golf and boating. Homes can be bought from $120,000 to 2 Million Dollars. Again, great folks, wonderful neighborhood, and nice lake and golf sports to enjoy.
