Many people think the end of summer ends fun and good times on Grand Lake, but that is not the case. In my opinion, the best boating season on Grand Lake is September/October. You will enjoy less crowds, quieter water, turning foliage colors, great temperature to be out enjoying the outdoors, and a peaceful relaxing setting to unwind in. True, tubing and wakeboarding season declines fast as temperatures bring down the water temperature but this season maybe is made for the adult set that enjoys some quiet time on the lake. Fishing is great as is the boating. If you haven’t been to this season on Grand Lake, come give it a try, you will truly enjoy.

Late summer/fall is also a wonderful time to look for and buy your dream home on Grand Lake. Waterfront homes are enjoyable year around with each season bringing another beauty to the waterfront view. Temperatures are just right to enjoy house shopping this time of year and most important-fall is a great time to get a deal on a Grand Lake waterfront home. Sellers are eager to get their home needing sold gone before winter and will have in many cases priced this in to the asking price or perhaps will give a big discount off list price with a proper offer.
