Cajun Fun at Grove Civic Center—July 2nd

Come in out of the heat and enjoy the day in the air-conditioned comfort of the Grove Civic Center on Saturday, July 2 from 9 a.m. to 5 p.m.  It will be cool inside while enjoying the “hottest” Cajun band and the best Cajun food this side of Louisiana!!  Take a musical journey that is as authentic as the people, places and events that define Louisiana culture and discover your own “Bayou Roots”.  Chris Miller and Bayou Roots, along with Jana Jae and Clint Walker, vocalist, musician and song writer will keep you entertained all day.   Enjoy the entertainment while shopping with the Arts and Crafts Vendors and enjoying delicious Cajun food.

Chris Miller and Bayou Roots seek to honor the roots of the Cajun music’s tradition by extending the reach of new and creative musical branches.  Led by Chris Miller on vocals, accordion, fiddle, keys, and harmonica, this group provides a musical adventure that can take some very exciting and surprising turns!  The audience will experience some of those surprising turns when Jana Jae, known as the 1st Lady of Country Fiddle joins them on stage with some Cajun fiddling!!  Dancers will gather on the dance floor to dance to the beat of the Cajun music.  Clint Walker, vocalist, musician and song writer will change the pace when he hits the stage with some of his vocal numbers and original tunes.  Jana Jae will join Clint on the Orange Blossom Special and other songs for the spectators’ enjoyment.

The public is invited to enjoy this free event as a gift from Grand Lake Festivals, Inc. and Jana Jae, founder of Grand Lake Festivals with the assistance of Oklahoma Arts Council, National Endowment of the Arts, Grove Convention & Tourism Bureau, Oklahoma Film and Music and local and area sponsors including the City of Grove.
