Grand Lake in NE Oklahoma Real Estate
Wednesday, May 9th, 2007We hear so much gloom and doom in the national real estate news these days. Last time I wrote of the shortage of good waterfront lots. Two more nice lots close to Grove, OK went under contract today. There are very few waterfront lots available at this time.
Waterfront homes are available on multi-list but just finished a nice visit with another agent in our office who had been out showing waterfront homes all day. She reported showing a half dozen or so nice homes in the $250,000-300,000 range on the water or with nice water view and boat slip available. The rest, she said were trash that you would not want.
Our market is slow and steady here in NE Oklahoma on Grand Lake. It is true there are a few nice homes over priced that are available and there are the junky ones mentioned above but we also have some great homes priced on the market. These homes are getting picked off one by one in our market. Not robust, but the suppley is steadyly dwindling in a very steady to upward priced market. If I had in mind to purchase a lake home now or next year or so, I would not delay. You can find a home you will love and will be on the market price wise now, but as stated it is a diminishing supply. Why, not buy now, while there is true choices, low interest rates, and a great season to enjoy boating and enjoying the lake just beginning.
List number 06-2371 is a home I have developed and own. It’s Monkey Island location on Grand Lake is great, at the end of a dead end street with wonderful main lake views from a quiet protected cove. The Chalet styling gets you in the mood for the lake. It has many many luxury extras including Pella windows and doors, composite decking, Jenn-Aire range, Whirlpool Gold appliances, boat dock, great views from every room, and the list goes on and on. Go to my web site link below and look under favorites and see what you think.
The midwest market and Grand Lake real estate market have not gone overboard in pricing or supply like so many areas in Florida, Arizona and California. Do not let the national press lead you to believe the real estate market is dead everywhere. It is alive and well in NE Oklahoma. Don’t delay, you too can have an affordable lake home to spend weekends or retire to full time. Call today for more info at 918 640-3300.
