Grand Lake Paradise Is Found By New York Times

Grand Lake, the beautiful Northeast Oklahoma lake that so many people call home for retirement, a special second home retreat, or a family home to those who live and work at the lake has been found by the New York Times. Kit Keifer, a travel editor with the New York Times spent several days in Grove, OK and the Grand Lake area this week gathering information for a story in his series on second home gettaways. The paper will publish in 4-6 weeks the article on Grand Lake.

Mr. Keifer noticed right away that Grand Lake has a special beauty to it and remarked that with today’s far flung families that Grand Lake would be the perfect middle of the country meeting place for extended families with sons or daughters and their families living on each coast that Grand Lake could be that special spot for the family vacation and holiday gatherings.

Aaron Hughes and myself joined Andy Stewart of Patricia Island Estates to visit with Mr. Keifer about the golf and lake lifestyle homes offered at Patricia Island Estates in Grove and along the shores of Grand Lake. Patricia Island truly offers year round enjoyment of both lake activities including fishing, boating, sailing, sea-dooing and golf. In between you can enjoy quiant shopping and dining around the lake and in Grove. State of the Art Health Care is coming to Grove with construction underway on the new 58 million dollar Integris Grove General Hospital to replace the old facility that has outgrown it’s usefulness. There are many fine qualities of life on Grand Lake and Patricia Island Estates.
