Real Estate on Grand Lake in NE Oklahoma has picked up in November 2009 and still has people looking in December, normally a slow month. Maybe this is the year to buy the family that lake home on Grand Lake.

There have many positive articles on the economy especially for the midwest. I read one article this week that said Oklahoma, Texas, and Arkansas would be ahead of the nation in the recovery because property values did not drop nor had they went off the radar going up. Employment is thought to be better in these 3 states also.

If you have been on the fence regarding that weekend home on the lake or a full time retirement home, now might just be the time. There are a few winter deals to be had, just as there is every year. Prices next spring will probably firm.
