Grand Lake Real Estate has been fairly good this fall. Today is October 9, 2010. We closed two deals yesterday in Patricia Island Estates. One was a waterfront home with boat slip and the other was a waterfront building lot. Patricia Island Estates is a golf and lake subdivision at Grove, OK on the beautiful shores of Grand Lake.

Yesterday late we got a signed contract on a Cherokee Trails home from a couple retiring to Grove from Iowa. Cherokee Trails is a popular subdivision just outside the city limits of Grove where you can have a nice home with a shop building out back for your boat, hotrod car, or what have you.

This week we had a couple from New Mexico thinking of moving to the area and were here checking things out. Tomorrow we have a couple coming in from California to look at waterfront homes. They have their home sold in California and are eager to look at lake homes for retirement. In two weeks we have a couple coming from Texas to look at waterfront homes.

People have been cautious since all the financial turmoil but seem to now be getting more comfortable to get on with their life in a prudent financial way. Fall is a great time to get a deal on a lake home as our season gets much slower about Thanksgiving until March. Sellers are anxious to get their homes sold before the season for selling slows down.
