The Shangri La Country Club on Monkey Island at Grand Lake continues to work at a fast pace in the redevelopment of the historic country club. Owner, Eddie Gibbs has pulled out all stops and is fast transforming the Shangri La into a new glorious phase. The dry fall and winter we are having have not been good for wheat farmers but for working on a golf course it has been terrific. The pictures above were taken on December 30, 2011 and each picture is a different machine working.

It is such a positive feeling to see so much work going on in what is considered by many to be trying times. Confidence means alot to people’s actions and I for one believe that is an area many in our country have lost. Yes, we have many people out of work and hurting but the way to get the economy rolling is to invest and spend prudently and then jobs and a better economy will come for all. Now is a great time to invest in real estate on Monkey Island at Grand Lake. Sellers have not raised prices yet as many had sat a long while waiting on buyers to come and they needed to sell for various reasons. Now, however, the supply of unsold homes is becoming in short supply very fast. Soon, prices will rise and I think in the next three years we will look back and say I sure wished I had invested in Grand Lake property back in 2010 because prices will be higher. We have gated community waterfront homes, golf course homes, luxury homes, and simple lake cabins for both weekend lake homes or fulltime retirement homes. There is something for everyone’s taste and budget.
