Need to Sell Your Grand Lake Waterfront Home? Now Might Be The Time

We hope that our waterfront home owners on Grand Lake never sell their retirement home or weekend getaway home but we know in today’s world families change and lives change and sometimes one needs to sell their lakehome. We have been through some rocky times in real estate in the United States and a poor economy now for about five years. Waterfront home prices have not ever went down like other real estate but prices and demand the past few years have been softer than the go go days in 2005-2006.

In 2012 the total sales in the Grand Lake MLS were greater than the previous year and this year has started out very well and we are not in the lake home season yet. Our Grand Lake Team of Aaron Hughes and Joe Neill at RE/MAX Grand  Lee Estates 5-12 002 Chateau 13 9-10 057 Dogwood Dr Grove 7-18-12 049 Dogwood Dr Grove 7-18-12 053 acreage on water 009 N Beach Area WF Lot 006Lake had a wonderful year last year. We continued selling homes through December and into January, the slow times for lake real estate. We are now needing quality waterfront home listings in all price ranges. We have buyers looking for homes who cannot find the home they dream of.

As I started this article with, we hate to loose any Grand Laker unless they are upgrading to another Grand Lake waterfront home but if you need to sell, now could be the best time to do so in the past five years. Buyers can buy with low low interest rate cost, prices on homes are still reasonable, and confidence is coming back to buyers to indeed buy.

If you would like a market price opinion on your Grand Lake waterfront home call our team and we will provide you with a free price opinion based on previous comp sales and today’s market.
