Now Might Be The Time To Buy Your Dream Waterfront Lot on Grand Lake

Waterfront lots for sale on Grand Lake have not sold very well since the financial crisis. Supply is not great of available waterfront lots and they are in strong hands so prices have not varied much for several years, just few sales. As I drive around the lake areas now, we are starting to see more new building projects taking place. Most of these are on waterfront lots people have owned for years planning probably for a retirement home at Grand Lake and now finishing the dream started several years ago. Building and housing sales seem to be booming in many areas of the country including nearby NW Arkansas. We feel that as it was in the 80’s oil bust, the Grand Lake area was slower than many areas in coming back to real estate but as then by next spring we will nation wide be in the 2nd or 3rd year of a very good upturn in housing sales and building. This should translate into renewed interest in building and buying homes on Grand Lake soon. Oil is back above $50 and now oil companies say they can produce oil at $50 and make money so many in the industry are expected to be eager to buy soon.

What does all this mean for waterfront lots? As I stated at the start of this article, there is not a huge supply of waterfront lots for sale. If I were wanting to build a waterfront home on Grand Lake in the next 1-5 years I would think serious about acquiring the waterfront lot now while selection is best and prices are still the long time steady. With any demand at all we will see price increases and lots in prime locations near Grove with good water depth and GRDA approved dockable areas will be hard to find.
