Now could very well be the best time to buy a home on Grand Lake in Northeast Oklahoma. Many sellers read the national real estate news and are anxious about the housing market. Home prices for waterfront homes on Grand Lake are basically steady. However with sellers anxious and the slow winter season soon to be here, sellers are in many cases ready to deal rather than carry a property over to the spring market. Lakeview, golf course homes, and subdivision homes have similiar anxious sellers ready to deal.

I think the national home market has bottomed in price and could in most areas see higher prices next spring. On Grand Lake and the Grove, Oklahoma houseing market, I also think it will be firmer on prices in general with less deals to be found.

Another point to consider in a home purchase is the interest rate on the loan if there is to be a loan. Today’s rates cannot hold forever, with rates hovering around 5%. Our national government is borrowing money like it is going out of style and at some point rates have to go up.

Stop and think, you can find a deal now and rates are in the basement, why not get out and buy that second home at the lake, retirement home on Grand Lake, or family home in Grove, OK today. It just makes sense and will be a deal you will tell your grandkids about.
