Put Life in PerspectiveSaturday, January 3rd, 2009
January 3, 2009, can you believe it is already 2009. It seems only yesterday we were fretting over what would happen to all the computers when they rolled over to 2000 from 1999. Time does march on. The important thing to learn about time is to enjoy each day and minute to the fullest extent possible. This does not mean to live as if there is no tomorrow. It just means enjoy life because life is truly short. Our nation has went through some ugly times financially in 2008 but life does go on.
Maybe one way to save and enjoy life at the same time is to invest in lake property such as Grand Lake in NE Oklahoma. The midwest in general, Oklahoma more particular, and the Grand Lake area has had steadily climbing real estate values the past ten years but not up 30-40% in one year as did the areas that are now down by that much. The growth on Grand Lake is sustainable. You can own waterfront homes, lakeview homes, or perhaps a golf course home with boat slip in the community docks. We have options for all budgets and desires.
A lake home offers family time together, a family meeting place when grown children are scattered across the country, and a quiet piece of peace and relaxtion from the busy world around us. You can pay off the lake home while working and use and enjoy it. When retirement time comes simply sell your city home and move to the lake full time. Money from the city home can be used to live on in retirement. It truly is an investment you can enjoy, see, feel, and touch, and is much more stable in pricing with price growth than our stocks and bonds.
