Real Estate in Oklahoma is Alive and Well

Oklahoma real estate markets continue to be a good steady even market even if some areas of the country such as Florida or Arizona are slow. Tulsa, Oklahoma reported this week that home sales were above last year.

On Grand Lake in Northeast Oklahoma homes are selling not brisk but at a steady pace with prices very stable. Grove and Monkey Island on Grand Lake in particular, continue to see interest from out of state buyers who want to have a second home in our area, are planning retirement in 2-4 years and want to buy a home on Grand Lake now, or are ready to move here for a permanent home now. Our home prices remain well below the housing prices of either coast. Buyers continue to find value in our Oklahoma lake home markets.

Re/Max Grand Lake in Grove and Monkey Island has had our agents helping folks from California, Florida, Illinois, many other states as well as the local four state area of Oklahoma, Missouri, Kansas, and Arkansas.

If you have thought of looking for a lake area or waterfront home, now might be the time. Value is here but we are not in the depressed markets of other high dollar areas of the country. We expect our sales prices this year to be steady to slightly higher, while still offering great choice and value in the home selected.
