Real Estate Market Is OK on Grand Lake
Thursday, January 4th, 2007Real Estate markets in many major areas of the country have experienced a much slower market and lower prices. Most if not all of these areas have had a large upswing in prices over the past three years and are now playing catchup. The midwestern market was never as hot and now it has not cooled. I have read several articles lately in the Wall Street Journal, Money Magazine, and Kiplingers that say many midwest cities will see 3-8 % price growth this year. Grand Lake in Oklahoma is typical of most midwestern areas. The market has been good and higher over the past three years but not through the roof such as the Florida condo market.
If you have been putting off looking for, buying, or selling real estate in the Grove, Oklahoma, Grand Lake area including Monkey Island, South Grand Lake near Langley or Ketchum, or the remote areas of Zena do not hestitate to pursue your dream of buying or selling in this area. The winter market on the lake is slower each year and many times a good time to get a deal. If you are thinking of selling, winter is a good time to list and get everything in place with your realtor as far as advertising and such goes. It often takes thirty days to get ads in place. The winter boat show season starts in less than four weeks. The Tulsa boat show the last week of January usually is a kickoff to the waterfront home season on Grand Lake. There are not an abundance of great waterfront homes on the market now, so if buying I would not wait too long and if looking to sell now is a great time to list. I would appreciate your calls and emails froms buyers and sellers. I may be reached on my cell at 918 640-3300 or email at jneill@remax.net Hope to hear from you soon.
