Spring is Fishing Time on Grand Lake in NE Oklahoma
Thursday, March 29th, 2007Think about catching crappie while boating in 78 degree weather and all the while taking in the beautiful redbud and dogwood trees in full bloom. It just does not get any better except maybe when you take time to fry the fish and eat them. Grand Lake is a great fishing lake. As far as that goes, it is also a great boating, sea-dooing, and other water activity lake. The weather this last week of March has been just great. Northeast Oklahoma and the Grove/Grand Lake area have 4 moderate seasons. It is a great place to live and play.
We have many people from out of state come and play on our lake and decide they have to have a weekend get away here or if close to retirement we find many people selling their city homes and moving to the Grove, OK area to live their retirement years. We have full time homes starting at $120,000 for great small newer homes in nice neighborhoods and the price goes up to over one million for the top of line waterfront homes. We do have several wonderful waterfront homes on the market priced from $300,000-650,000. Many people want right on the water while others say, hey if I am within a mile or two of water thats ok by me. I can keep a boat in the marina and within five minutes be to it and soon out on the water enjoying the day. You can purchase a great off water retirement home from the $120,000 to $275,000.
The area enjoys many community and church activities. Integris Grove General Hospital, the local hospital has just announced plans to break ground before the end of 2007 on a new from the ground up hospital for state of the art care for our vistors and residents. Harber Village, a replia early America town is a great tourist attraction and Lendonwood Gardens is another wonderful attraction enjoyed by many each year. Grove, Monkey Island and several other areas of Grand Lake have great little shops to browse and hunt unique bargains in and nice places to dine for lunch or dinner.
All in all, Grove and the Grand Lake Area in Northeast Oklahoma is a great place to call home, visit, or have a second home. Check my web sites for more on the area and for my lisitngs as well as area multi-list search. Call me at 918 640-3300 for more information on this wonderful place to be.
