Things to Do On Grand Lake Besides Water Activities
Tuesday, September 18th, 2018Grand Lake area offers many attractions to enjoy when you are not boating or fishing. Have you checked out Grove’s Lendenwood Gardens? Lendenwood Gardens is a large botanical garden featuring beautiful landscaping with Japanese Garden, English Garden, Koi Pond, winding trails to walk and just enjoy the peaceful quiet in what ever season you care to enjoy. You simply pay an honor system small fee to enter and go at your own pace. Quite a treat for all ages if you have not seen, you need to put on your schedule to do so.
Grove’s Har-Ber Village is another top attraction. You will enjoy walking thru the scale frontier town of the 1800’s with exhibits of the time shown in the various buildings you stroll by. Also around the grounds are old farm implements, early fire truck, and other period items all in a scenic tree shaded area with lake views. While there enjoy lunch at the cafe except Tuesday and Wednesday when they are closed. The area will close for season in November so get out and enjoy soon and remember next spring when reopens. Open all year just outside the area are new walking trails for the public to enjoy. Check them out as well.
