I wrote a few days ago of our new Monkey Island listing that was soon to be in the multi-list. We now have the paper work all in and list number 08-1583 is active and had two showings yesterday. Grand Lake in NE Oklahoma is a favorite get away for people in about a 200 mile radius of the lake. There are also several 6 and 6 retired couples who spend 6 months at Grand Lake and 6 months in Florida or California. Monkey Island is about the favorite place for moderate priced seasonal and weekend second homes.  A waterfront home cost will have a greater initial investment but also appreciates in price faster than an off water home. The lakefront home also usually sells faster than an off water home.

Most waterfront homes seem to sell for well above $300,000 so it is rare to find a home in excellent condition in a nice location for only $243,000. I do not think this home will last long. It is such a value. If you have been thinking a family full time home, as present owners are, or a second home on the lake don’t tarry because you will like this home and there are very few in this price range that ever come available.
