Grand Lake in NE Oklahoma is a wonderful lake to fish, boat, sea-doo, or just sat on the bank of and watch the boats go by. It is a resort type second home market, a great place to raise a growing family, and a very popular retirement area. Waterfront building lots are fast being gobbled up in the most popular areas of the lake.

In the more remote areas a watefront lot with great water and views will sell for $90,000 and up. A nice view but shallow water lot will sell in the $35,000 range. A great lot in a popular area such as Grove on Patricia Island, West Point, Fairstone Beach and other areas of upscale homes will sell for $225,000 and up. One nice lot sold in the neighborhood of $315,000 this week.

If you think you will want a waterfront home in the next few years and want to custom build I would suggest finding your lot now and buying it. You will have a great investment, have your site locked in, and can build on your time table.
